If you're overwhelmed with a list of house projects and don't know where to start, take a deep breath, start small, and start somewhere that will result in instant gratification to build your momentum. I'm the kind of person who writes a task on my to do list after I've already done it just to check it off. I'm not above tricking myself into productivity, so when I'm considering where to even begin resetting and refreshing my space, I start with something small somewhere significant. I use our kitchen every day, and these products provide solutions to problems in our house that we will immediately benefit from. After hours of research, these are the top 10 items in my Amazon cart to reset and refresh my kitchen this week!
In my house, we have a cabinet full of mismatched souvenir cups and weird ice cream sundae glasses that haven't been used in 10 years, and it drives me crazy every time I go to get something to drink. This week, I'm doing something about it and purchasing these well-reviewed ribbed glass cups that I'll be excited to grab from the cabinet.
What better to go with my new glass cups than some new glass straws? Maybe this will be the thing that finally motivates me to drink enough water every day!
We have a spice cabinet that is far too small to be effectively used, so last week we finally got so fed up with it that we've just been living with every spice we own sitting on the counter since then. Though I've enjoyed the game of trying to catch the containers as they come tumbling down all these years, I'm upgrading us to these glass jars with a variety of label choices and moving them into a drawer for easy access.
Another kitchen drawer is getting the organization upgrade, too. This expandable bamboo silverware drawer organizer is exactly what I was looking for. The knife block is removable, and the sides expand to fit your drawer perfectly. Now, if I could only just decide on a set of silverware I liked.
This may be the most underrated product on this list . . . zip and fit shelf liner. If you have ever lined shelves before, you know how big of a game changer this is. No need for scissors, you just bend it where you need to break it, and it fits perfectly!
This one has been a long time coming . . . a salad spinner. Well, for me it will be more of a fruit dryer because I'm still working on the whole eating vegetables thing, but whether you use it for lettuce or strawberries, this one is a must-have. I will totally admit that I've watched countless videos of people washing their fruit, and I may not even be above filming one one of these days.
Following the fruit, these stackable fridge organizer bins that keep your produce fresh are the best bundle I've found, and really, you can trust me when it comes to organizing products because I have very high and very particular standards when it comes to organizing. I also hate to waste food and love to see what I still have left to eat, so these check all the boxes.
I have to tell you this is just the beginning of me promoting acrylic storage containers. I use them all over my house, and they may be some of my most prized possessions. We'll be using these for deli meat and cheese! I'm not afraid to admit that I wish every thing in my house was aesthetically organized, but I know the plastic resealable bags these products come in are just fine. We're getting these so my mom, who has arthritis, doesn't have to battle the bags every time she wants a sandwich!
The fridge reset and refresh is on another whole level because we're actually getting a brand new one. It's even one of those white glass four door ones, so, needless to say, I'm overjoyed, especially because we got a crazy deal on it from the 4th of July sales. With such a classy fridge, our odd beach themed weak magnet notepad isn't going to cut it for the grocery list anymore. This clear acrylic dry erase board will do the trick, and if you know me, we certainly won't be using all those colored markers!
Alright, the last one is my toss up! Blenders are tough for me because I have some sensory sensitivity that makes it nearly unbearable for me to be that close to that much noise, but this one is so aesthetically pleasing that it may end up in my cart next to pair of ear plugs. Homemade smoothies and açaí bowls are my ideal snack of the summer!
Remember, resetting and refreshing doesn't have to be remodeling or even renovating. There is a middle between eating out every night because you don't want to be in your kitchen and redoing the whole room to look like your dream kitchen Pinterest board. Reset and refresh your space by starting small somewhere significant!
